Dan Haase

The Story ... So Far

Dan Haase is a singer/songwriter, bassist and guitarist from New Jersey. A long time veteran of the rock and country music scene in the northeast, Dan is currently working on his first solo record. When not focusing on his original music, Dan plays bass in with fellow singer/songwriter Rachel Ana Dobken, while also lending his talents to New Jersey based cover band Mushmouth.

While growing up in Lakewood, New Jersey, Dan was exposed to many different types of music including rock, hip hop, jazz, funk, country and heavy metal. After graduating from the Berklee College of Music in 2007, Dan began to focus on Americana rock and country music, becoming one of the founding members of the band Stolen Rhodes. While together Stolen Rhodes recorded two full length albums, and an EP; while simultaneously touring the United States as support for some of the biggest names in southern rock (Lynynrd Skynyrd, Marshall Tucker Band, Blackberry Smoke, J.J. Grey).

After leaving Stolen Rhodes in 2016, Dan hooked up with Asbury Park, New Jersey based singer/songwriter Rachel Ana Dobken, and has since played bass on two full length albums with her, while also touring the northeast. Dan also joined New Jersey based cover band Mushmouth in 2024 and plays 100+ shows a year with them.

Dan is currently one of the most active bassists and singer/songwriters in the northeast. With a schedule of 130+ shows a year, and an upcoming solo release, Dan tells people that he “gets to live his dream life” as a hard working and all loving musician. Outside of music Dan values the time he gets to spend with his lovely wife Heather and his step son Ryan. Dan is an avid fan of most sports, and spends his free time training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu multiple times a week, hiking, cycling and golfing.
